When Obama Wins

There’s a reason I love Jason Kottke; the man knows how to make smart stuff fun and fun stuff smart. His latest creation “When Obama Wins” pulls tweets from Twitter that start with the phrase. Just keep clicking the phrase to see what people are saying. So far, so good, right? It gets even better. Google the phrase “When Obama Wins” and guess what comes up first. You guessed it. Well played Jason. How fun is that?

I wonder how many of these will prove to be right by days end… I wonder how many of you have done your part. The time is now people.

Say Hear

Here’s a fun one, Say Hear is a web site filled with audio recordings of people explaining why they’re voting the way are. Listening to the blue ones are fun. Listening to the red ones are um, uncomfortable, like when my grandparents used to fart in the car (it’s hard to know what to say, I mean, you know they don’t mean ill, they just don’t know any better). Anyway, have a listen, then, while you’re on line at your polling station, dial 805.845.5763 and leave a message of your own. You are going to the polling station, right?

Free Coffee For Voters

Free stuff is fun. So is getting involved. Big ups to Starbucks for pulling double duty by giving a free cup of coffee to anyone who’s voted. Nice video too; inspired by The Girl Effect, one of my favorite campaigns of all time (second only to, well, you know).

The DNC Victory Party

The man raised $600 million dollars, and inspired a nation to believe again, you’d best believe he’s throwing one hell of a party tonight. This victory lap’s got all the fixings, Shepard Fairey (he of Andre The Giant and now the Obama/Hope poster fame) will be rocking the 1s and 2s. Pierce Brosnan, Peter Fonda, Amy Smart, Sarah Silverman, the guest list goes on and on, but there’s still room for more: you! Want to get down democratic style in LA tonight, RSVP at Barackobama.com. Did I mention it’s free? How fun is that?

NOTE: While you’re there (on the site that is, not at the party) sign-up to do some last-minute phone-banking. It’s never too late to make a first impression.

Who Sucks The Most

It’s a simple enough question; see the poster and stick your gum to whichever candidate you feel sucks the hardest. Go to Gumelection.com to see how people feel, even better, print out a poster of your own and take a flash poll outside a polling station near you.

Going Negitive?

How many chances have you had to change the world? How many times have you been asked to stand up at the crossroads of history? It’s exciting for sure, and not a time for negativity, but if you simply have to, do it the fun way. The Attack Ad Generator lets you string words together for the narrator to say over any number of pictures strung together any which way you choose. The final product is embeddable, sendable and filled with whatever all the hatred, all the lies and half-truths, your little heart can handle. How fun is that?

Fame at Last

If you’ve ever wanted to see your face everywhere, here’s your chance!

Photofunia allows you to upload an image - could be you, your friend, your boss or your pet. Once done, chose from a wide range of scenes such as Billboard ads, art galleries, Paris Hilton’s new CD or even Times Square. Your pic is then automatically sized and dropped into the scene.

It’s sort of like being famous except without all the hassle (or cash unfortunately). It’s free, fast and loads of fun

Play Draw Play 3

Draw a path for your man from his starting box to flag. Then guide him on the path using the arrows. Not as easy as it sounds… not on the higher levels anyway. Isn’t that always the way? Click the picture to get the game.

Gash Or Tash?

Not nearly as dirty as it sounds, but probably not completely safe for work (yeah, you read that right, NSFW) either. Gash or Tash is a quiz made up of pictures of scraggly clumps of hair, shot close enough it’s hard to tell which part of the anatomy it’s guarding. Would you be able to tell the difference if it walked up and bit you on the nose?

The Maine Lobster Game

“Who thought you could make fishing more fun?” asks Chris Keslinger of Lobstergame.com. Clearly not the lobsters. Joke’s on them though. Chris has turned the oft-random balance by which life and death is decided into a game. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that, but when I started this thing, I decided that fun is whatever people say it is—Zoomdoggle is just here to get you thinking about it—and, well, I got three emails about this vending machine of doom over the weekend. In the interest of full disclosure, I should probably note that I do eat lobster and play with my food. I’ve just never taunted it. Fun?
