Is This Love?

Went by a friend’s office after-hours to do more of that copy-doggling (sticking your head in a copier) I’m so fond of.

Selecting bigger paper gave us a nice large work-space to play with. And, same as before, by changing your expression as the light bar passes, or dragging your face along with it, you can get some really nice art out of the machine.

It was when she started playing too though that things got really interesting. Look at the way she fades into the background. Oh, the magic of Xerox machines.

I can’t tell, was it just a doggle, or could this be the start of something more? Read the rest of this entry »

Scavenger Hunt

So without giving too much away (primarily because I know very, very little) Prototype161 is looking for “agents” in New York this weekend to solve a mystery

…anyone care to join me?

Honorary Doggler: Drizzy D.R.O.

It started with a simple idea: Derek ‘Drizzy D.R.O’ Davis invited his friends they could call him up and he’d rap about any subject they wanted. Turns out they liked it so much that friends told friends and, well, you know what happens next… Drizzy’s Press/Play hotline is now kind of big deal in 3 countries. Dial 205-617-9166. If he answers, he’ll rap about anything you ask him to, if he doesn’t, leave a message and he’ll get back to you with a ‘customized rap.’

We called and talked to someone high as hell. On the second go-round we left a message though. Can’t wait to hear what rhymes with “Doggle.”

Reader Submitted Doggle 14

Big ups once more to friend o’ the doggle Juancarlos for sending this little gem in. Turns out he was walking through New York City’s Tompkins Square Park when he stumbled across a rogue band of Jedi in training. No, really though, they even let him play with their sabers. Er, you know what I mean.

Bottom line, the club is called New York Jedi, and even though there’s a bit of a parody video making the rounds, they take what they do very seriously.

New Sport Alert 4: Freestyle Horse

Freestyle horse means you can play anywhere, anytime, so long as you’ve got the skills.

Kinda reminds me of another doggle I saw once.

Flash Quiz 4

Quick, what’s the first thing you do when you check into a hotel room? Is it…

A. Pull back the top sheet. Who knows what sickness that thing hides.

B. Count the items in the mini-bar. Better not get billed for something you didn’t drink.

C. Check in with loved ones. No point in their worrying about your safe arrival.

D. Doggle.

Road-Doggle 3000

If you’re anything like me, you probably dream of racing in the Gumball 3000 (high speed, multi-national, illegal, luxury sports cars, you get the idea).

But if you’re anything like me, you’ll probably never have enough money for the Gumball 3000 (Multi-national? Luxury sports cars? You get the idea).

Enter the road race for the rest of us.

Rental Car Rally

Yup, the same glorious minds that bought you the Wii tennis showdown Wiimbleton, and, er, probably a rental car company (that logo looks kinda familiar), bring you Rental Car Rally. August 15th. New York to Montreal. You rent the car, they organize the party. And so long as you opt for the full insurance, what happens in between shouldn’t matter anyway. Who’s with me? No really. I’m doing this and anyone is welcome to join. Drop me a line at love at zoomdoggle dot com.

Twin-Doggle

There’s a reason Charlie Todd and his Improv Everywhere are my heroes. It took 15 sets of twins to pull of the “Human Mirror.”

Some ideas are so good, it’s creepy.

Space-Doggle

Thanks to Mike Arauz for sending this footage in from the space station. Er, finding it online, not shooting it… you know what I mean.

In answer to your questions Mike: Yes space does look fun and yes I would love to go, but for now the price tag seems a bit out of my range.

I have however been saving up for a ride on the Vomit Commit. You know, that plane they use to simulate weightlessness. It’s only $4,147.50 to reserve a seat. They fly every few days. And they even give you a snappy jumpsuit to keep.

The best bit of all? If you’ve got the dough, you can pretty much charter the thing out of anywhere. Screw a G5, once I win the lotto this is the way I’m going to travel everywhere.

Honorary Doggler: Alli Katz

I used to have this weirdo art history teacher who, instead of teaching us about the history of art, or art through history, simply made us draw pictures of our favorite moments in history. Anyhow, this is like that, only cooler. Ever seen a great moment in history depicted on an Etch a Sketch? Me neither, till I found Alli’s blog.

Before you click through though, see how many you can properly identify.
