GET: Nerd Merit Badges

1 1/2 inches, fully embroidered, Velcro backed, based on the Foursquare and all around awesome. There’s even a laptop sash so you can line them up Girl Scout style. How fun is that? NOTE: I just ordered the Been Boinged both for me and office-mate Craig. One of us is going to display it with pride, the other is going to Grinch it up and roll his eyes. Anyone care to guess who’s who?

GET: The Zombie Combat Manual

Sure, when the day comes you could combat the undead using unproven techniques, but where is the fun in that? This 300+ page manual trains you in both melee and improvised weapon techniques that will help keep you, your loved ones, and your brains intact during the next outbreak.

GET: Gelli Baff

Sorry to have gone all MIA last week, but it was Toy Fair in NYC and, well, in addition to bringing the balls to the people, I was taken with all the new technology out there. My top pick is this stuff, Gelli Baff from the UK, it turns bathtubs of water into goo – no really, thick like beaded snot, but in fun fruit flavors – then back to water so it can go down the drain. You’re going to want to skip ahead in the video to see the magic transformation, then skip over to the Gelli Baff UK site o use their “pool calculator” to figure out how many boxes will change your in-ground into the stuff of legends, before hitting Amazon for the goods.

GET: Burgervetica

A fun new twist on a classic theme. And just in time for Valentine’s day. Yum.

GET: Heat Changing Arcade Mugs

The game doesn’t appear until the hot liquid goes in the mug. So far so good, but it’s the not-quiet-in-violation-of-trademark names that makes me smile. Good times.

MAKE: Kaleidocycle

“Folding + Photos = Origami Photo Twister.” Sounds like good times, right? Drop what you’re doing, upload four photos into the site, printing and fold per their instructions and boom you’ve made an endless loop of photo fun. NOTE: As my mom is about to discover, this can make an awesomely clever last second gift.

GET: BookBook

It’s a vintage book that makes your Macbook looks like, well, a vintage book. Fun, right? NOTE: Do not try this at home. My brother-in-law tells me that, in a deft move to save the $80 they’re charging for real thing, he ruined the better part of an Encyclopedia he found on the street. No, really. Pictures to follow.

GET: Voice Band

This is amazing. No really. Make songs by singing into your phone one track at a time. It converts each layer into a different instrument. If Mozart had this, he wouldn’t have had to wait until age three to compose his first symphony.

GET: Penny Shooter Business Card

Prototypes are available now for just $8. Leaving an impressions? Priceless.

LOOK: Swim With The Fishes

Behold, the ultimate fish-mobile! Out drag the dolphins top side at 40mph. Hold your own below the surface at 20mph. And all for just $48,000 for the baseline model (you’re going to have to pay extra though for a radio, really). The Seabreacher as it’s known in showrooms is very much real and very much fun. Loads more pictures, info, and even a video after the jump.
