It looks like a giant camera. It’s free for you to use. And it just might be the funnest idea to hit the streets of New York since, er, hitting the streets of New York.
NOTE: I’m not sure that “hitting streets” or hitting anything for that matter is a fun idea, but Toilet-paper Head, the homeless guy who used to reside on my corner, seem to enjoy pounding his fists against the pavement when he got bored. To each his own I suppose.
Shoot Booth is the brainchild of Jacob Krupnick and Dustin John. The way it works is this: You enter the booth (leave the curtain open if you’d like the background included in the final product) and, upon pushing a big green button, the rig takes a picture of you the way a typical photobooth would. Next, you’ve got ten seconds to grab a light pen (a pen with a light where the tip should be) and “write” on the glass in front of you. And the rest, as they say, is magic… or “shutter-lag” if you’re a photographer… or just plan “awesome” if you’re me.

PS: An extra-special thank-you to newly-minted friend of doggle Kristina for insisting I check it out and to long-time friend of the doggle Toilet-paper Head for always being down.
