Yogesh’s Daily Doggle 5

Some said outsourcing my blog to India was a bad idea. Those people never met Yogesh (of course, neither have I, but setting it up is what Tasks Every Day for… he calls me every morning though). Anyway, for this, day 5, Yogesh writes:

My Dad use to always try to do something creative and different from the common man. When you ask a common man what is the use of ‘Toothpick’ you will get the answer, Toothpick is used to remove detritus from the teeth after a meal… but here he comes the Artist Scott Weaver has spent years—35, to be exact—building a 9 foot tall model of San Francisco using no less that 100,000 toothpicks. Now it’s time to think, and try to dream big as Scott Weaver. When I saw these video clip I become a big fan of him. I had a lot of Fun watching it.

Yogesh’s Daily Doggle 4

Surely you know by know that I’ve begun outsourcing some of my blogging to my virtual personal assistant Yogesh Pawar in India. We’ve never met. I’ve hired him through a company called Tasks Every Day. Still, the guy knows how to pick ‘em, I tell you what. Today Yogesh writes:

The best link ever seen before having such a different Fun as well. World’s Tallest Lego Tower! There are many tallest buildings in the world, but still LEGO TOWER is some thing different. It was made of 465,000 bricks facing high winds and dark weather kept tossing about the 100-foot boom crane used in adding new LEGO sections but still the impossible thing was made possible with such an enormous dedication. This link carries potential to entertain you and make you Smile.

Check it out.

Yogesh’s Daily Doggle 3

As you are no doubt aware, I have begun outsourcing one post per day to my virtual personal assistant Yogesh Pawar in India. Rest assured, his dedication to seeking out fun is equal to mine. Sadly, so is his grasp of English. Today Yogesh writes:

Since there are thousands of words in ENGLISH language it’s very difficult to guess proper meaning of every word. Thankfully Mister Dictionary is ready for speech you found unfeasible to recognize. That’s why I appreciated this link, it helps me whenever I face queries. Just write down the Meaning of the word given and click on MR. D and he will give you the exact answer. If yours matches then you are genius. Without a doubt the best option to improve your knowledge and cover up the spare time.

The Funnest Guy on Facebook

This is crazy, click the Facebook icon to see. I mean, yeah, maybe they haven’t done anything fun in a while, but hopefully just by reminding them, they’ll be inspired to get back at it.

NOTE: You’ve got to be logged in already.

Yogesh’s Daily Doggle 2

Day 2 of outsourcing my blogging to my virtual personal assistant Yogesh in India. I have to say, the more I learn about him the more fun he sounds. Today Yogesh writes:

If you think similar to me than you will find this as the best option to learn and improve your Dressing Sense. One fact of my life I will love to share with you all that before playing this game I was really bad with the DRESSING SENSE but now when I gifted a beautiful dress to my girlfriend she was so happy and excited about the dress that she proposed me then and their for marriage. But the other thing was that she proposed me on behalf oh her younger sister. That was my good luck since I love her younger sister not my girlfriend. But still after all the point is that if you are a boy then play this game to keep your girlfriend happy and if you are girl then play this game so that your boyfriend will never look at any other girl. PLAY it, ENJOY it, LEARN about DRESSING SENSE and have FUN.

Yogesh’s Daily Doggle 1

Remember when I told you I’d outsourced my blogging to a virtual personal assistant in India? Yogesh writes:

Top Most Sand Art Imagine New Age Keltic Music Beautiful: – Unbelievable and most amazing video thing I have ever seen. The best creativity on net for the creative people who love paintings, who live painting and who can die making paintings as well as for all those who hate paintings, since once visited the video you are going to forget everything for a while and just going to be a part of that thinking, ‘Why I am not the one who can do this’. Promising video clip to give you fun in your spare time including knowledge and creativity. You are habitual of seeing paintings on paper but sand art is something different from that which includes perfection, concentration, vision to create one picture from another without clearing the first one and that is the interesting thing in that video which catches the attention of the people.

Outsourcing The Doggle

It’s a fact: No one man can write a blog like this and live a life too. But the Doggle can’t go on at the clip it is without a little extra man-power. That said, it is with great pleasure that I welcome my VIRTUAL ASSISTANT YOGESH PAWAR to the team.

Yogesh’s home-base is India, but his heart is in a little town called Zoom.

As you’ll soon discover, we’re not that different Yogesh and I. Sure, I grow hair on my knuckles, have trouble shaving regularly, and am at the moment, more or less unemployed. But having spoken to him twice now (he calls me in the morning), I assure you he’s every bit the doggler I am.

Starting tomorrow, Yogesh will wander new corners of the web, and return with the latest and greatest in fun in a column we’re calling Yogesh’s Daily Doggle. Ya’ll come back now… ya’hear?

Any Press is Good Press

The Fun Idea Machine makes the New York Post…

Unfortunately, it seems they made a few things up… “IDEA NO. 126: Freeze in place while waiting outdoors in the winter.” Huh? The thing’s only existed two weeks. Unless it’s going to the other side of the globe while I’m asleep, I think what they mean is “Freeze in place… right now, right here, the way Improv Everywhere did… now watch people watch you.” I wonder is that makes the Ryan McDermott they quoted as having gotten that one, er, well, I’ll let you do the math.

Oh well, it’s all in good fun.

In related news, turns out my FUN-O-METER isn’t the only fun biz idea making the rounds in the paper this morning. Five pages later, under “Hot ‘Grinders’” they explain how Anthony “Cousin Vinny” Angelo ran afoul of Subway Sandwiches for sending out fliers “promising customers free fountain sodas and $5 foot-long subs” with purchase of “six hours of nonstop, hard-core, live action from some of the most beautiful young ladies who have ever chosen to take their clothes off in public.”

How awesome is that? It might be worth doing something similar with the machine. I’ll keep you posted.

The Fun Machine is Blessed…

Ever heard of Amma?

These are the facts:

Her real name is Mata Amritanandamayi.

She was born in the small village of Parayakadavu in India in 1953.

She is known as the “Hugging Saint” and is said to have hugged more than 30 million people, sometimes as many as 50,000 at a time in ceremonies that have been known to last days.

Last week she was at the Manhattan Center here in New York City, where she hugged countless people…

…AND ONE MACHINE!

An Extra-speacial Thanks-Doggle

Jake Bronstein

Betcha didn’t even know I was gone, did you? All last week, south of the border, yours truly. That said, a million thank-yous to long-time comrade Adam Winer for keeping the show up and running.

Some other things you might find interesting:

Though I considered alternatives, air ravel is still best left to the professionals.

For better or worse, just about every picture on the site here is clickable.

Last but not least, Karl Pilkington is an orange-headed mank. Don’t know what that means? Have a listen to Ricky Gervaispodcasts (they’re free to download on iTunes) and funny as hell. Kept me entertained when even the donkey show didn’t.
