WATCH: Cutting Edge View

The camera was duct taped to the end of a sword. The footage is soon to be duct taped to your brain. It’s just that fun. And in related news, I’ll be skipping town for the next few days. Keep your eye on this space though. Coming soon: Video of me swinging cameras on a beach…

USEFUL: The Awesome Highlighter

Want to send someone to a specific spot in a web page? Awesome Hightlighter lets you do that. You highlight the section, they give you the link. There’s even a Firefox add on so you can highlight straight from your browser. How fun is that?

Many thanks to Neevy Hadar for sending it in.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Line Up

WHEN:
From now until Jan 16th
WHERE: NYC’s Clic Gallery, 255 Centre St
WHAT: Remember Philippe Petit, the Man On A Wire who walked a tightrope, strung in secret and without permit, between the World Trade Center towers? He recently taught an tightroping Master Class at the Streb Lab in Brooklyn. Photographer Victoria Dearing was on hand, shooting from the shadows. This show combines her shots and his drawings. How fun is that?

WATCH: Dough Acrobat Nino Coniglio

US Pizza Team member Nino Coniglio. Speechless. Sad side note: The Brooklyn Pizza-spot he owed from which he often stunned patrons with fun, impromptu shows, Pizzeria del Corso, looks to be closed for good. Bummer. Nino, let us know if there’s anything we can do (did someone say fundraiser?).

WATCH: Cat In Hat

From the title you think you’ve seen it before, right? You haven’t. Unless of course your house pet likes playing dress-up and mugging for the camera, in which case, you’re right, you have.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in yesterday (I counted at least three, but am still playing catch-up on Zoomdoggle’s holiday email).

QUICK: Take The Goonies Quiz

Hey you guys! Who doesn’t love The Goonies? It’s a fun movie… and this quiz is one of Mental Floss’ top of the year. I got 6 of 10. Ready to see how you stack up? The game starts after the jump.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR: The Standard Skating Rink

WHEN: From now until Feb 28th, 10AM – Midnight
WHERE: Right out front of NYC’s Standard Hotel, 848 Washington Street
WHAT: An ice-skating rink. An honest to goodness sheet of ice for you to enjoy right in the Meatpacking district. Take a spin cool spin before heading inside to hotspot Le Bain. Better yet, don’t head inside; Gleefully glide back and forth showing everyone on the other side of the velvet rope just what fun looks like. Yup.

WATCH: London’s Perpetual Hula

It’s a music video… in another language. Turn the music down though and there’s something very zen about watching a Hula Hoop spin it’s way endlessly around London town. Fun, right?

Mega-thanks to Sharon Su for sending it my way.

PLAY: Music Catch

Another oldie, but goodie. In fact, this was the very first game ever posted to Zoomdoggle (May 30th, 2008)… and I’m still playing it. It’s that much fun. Yellow shapes are good. Red shapes are bad. Click the pic to get the game. Remember though, if you’re playing it with the sound off though, you’re missing the show.

MAKE: Nerd-Flakes

And there’s loads more where this came from. Check the complete collection after the jump.
