In unrelated news, check out this Pizzacake (ie, a cake shaped like a box of pizza) by Melbourne artist Lyndal Walker.

Thanks to Kate Ulmer for sending it in.

PLAY: Shooting Practice

Targets pop up, aim and shoot before they pop down. It’s basic stuff really (avoid the bad ones, keep an eye out for bonuses, reload, etc). Good times. Click the pic to get the game.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Zoomdoggle brings PowerPoint Karaoke To NYC

WHEN: Monday, October 5th, 8PM
WHERE: Brooklyn’s Monkeytown, 58 N 3rd St (Bedford stop on the L)
WHAT: Imagine this: You have to deliver a PowerPoint presentation about an unfamiliar topic, with slides you’ve never seen, to an audience eager to heckle and laugh at you. If you’re in your underwear, you’re having a nightmare. If you’re clothed, it’s called PowerPoint Karaoke. We told you about it some time back… but now we’re hosting an event. Here’s how it works: Everyone who wants to compete gets ten random slides to improv their way through. All competitors walk with a t-shirt. Most also win a thumb-drive (a small one). Once even wins a hard-drive (a big one, 500G). And everyone is automatically entered to win the $5,000 grand prize. Think you have what it takes to grab the mic? RSVP to jakehimself@giantminiature.com to guarantee your spot. Walk-ins also welcome. Admission is free, but there’s a $10 bar minimum. How fun is that?

UPDATE: RSVP via Facebook. We still have 5 spots left for the presenters… if you’re a ninja and you know it raise your hand (otherwise, don’t be shocked if I send you a personal invitation before end of day).

LOOK: Roomba Art

Roomba robot vac + slow shutter camera = fun. There’s a whole flickr group dedicated to the thing. Loads more after the jump.

GET: Girlfriend Keeper App

Look at me. Just look at how happy I am in that picture. Anything I can do to make keep that lady happy is definitely an effort worth making. All of which brings me to reason 962 I should probably have an iPhone already, the Girlfriend Keeper App. You load in the details (he name, number, important dates, etc.) it automatically send all the texts you probably should know how to send yourself (ie “It’s 286 until your birthday… put your thinking cap on, we’re going to make this one special.”). How fun is that?

FUN VIDEO: Protect Insurance Companies

Who’da thought Jon Hamm could be so convincing? I’m sold. Sometimes it’s fun to be on the right side of an issue…

CRAIGSLISTING: Rocking Chair Very Haunted

Playing with people on Craigslist (who don’t realize they’re being played with) is fun… this time though, our man Adrian might have met his match!

PLAY: Icycle

You are a naked man on a tiny bike. Collect the bubbles. Avoid the icicles. All you need are the arrow keys. Be warned though, you’re going to fall off a lot before you get to where you’re going… but the art’s incredible along the way. Click the pic to make the jump.
