FUN VIDEO: Best Bull riding Ever

Sometimes you know how it’s going to end and yet, you still climb on for ride…

MARK YOUR CALENDAR: People Photographing People Photographing People

WHEN: 4 PM on September 19th, 2009
WHERE: New York’s South Street Seaport, South St. & Fulton St.
WHAT: An excuse for photographers of all shapes forms and fashions to bring out their camera (and costumes if so inclined) and sniff around other photogs, while everyone snaps away. This via Newmindspace:
“Many have commented over the years that it seems like there are just as many photographers at events as participants, and while this is not literally true, it can seem that way sometimes. So we decided to hold an event that skips the foreplay and goes straight to the photos. People photographing people photographing people. There is no real winner in this game, except perhaps those lucky souls who seem to make it into every photo. A costumer’s paradise. Or perhaps an exhibitionist’s? We will link up some scripts on our site for you to automatically add your photos and Flickr feeds instantly in the oversharing tradition of Now. All you need is a camera.” Sign-up on Facebook, or just show-up. Either way, know the whole thing is going straight to Flickr and beyond.

NERD-OUT: cTwittLike

Ever wonder what your favorite power-tweeters see when they log in? Plug their username into cTwittLike and it’ll pull the feeds of everyone they’re following, pull their background (maybe – the tipster who sent it in says they do, but every time I use it the background goes generic), and show you the world of Twitter in real time just as they see it.

FUN VIDEO: Navy I’m On A Boat

Why just be on a boat when you can be on a Navy tanker? It’s good to know The Lonely Island aren’t the only ones who know how to have fun.

GET: NavTones

Not getting lost is fun (thanks GPS wizardry). But having a fun voice showing you the way is, well, even funner. Sign up now and for just $10, the geniuses at NavTones will load your system with the voice of Knight Rider’s Kitt. Register now and they’ll even program the thing to say (or have the voice-over guy custom record) your name. Not good enough? They’ve also got Optimus Prime, Mr. T, and – somewhat disturbingly though awesome – Gary Busey.

FUN READ: PlaidStallions

Brace yourself for the funnest time-killing URL this side of, er, well, this one… Plaid Stallions “mocking the 70s a catalog page at a time” is an archive of old school catalogs, page by page (and they must be in the thousands by now) and beautifully editorialized. There’s tons of good stuff – I’m only an hour or so in and I’ve barely scratched the surface – but the smart money starts by clicking the lingerie or fashion mockery links in the archives. How fun is that?

PLAY: Toss The Turtle

Sounds dirty, right? It’s not. What it is is addictive. And frustrating. Use cannons, bombs, and jetpacks to shoot your turtle as far as possible! Collect cash to upgrade your equipment. Click the pic to get the game. NOTE: I was too lazy to find the embed so you’ll have to make the jump.

FUN VIDEO: We All Wanna Be Prince

I’d never really given it much though, but Felix is kinda right, being Prince is probably funner than you know.

HONORARY DOGGLER: George Katz

Australian rocket-man George Katz and his “Air Command Water Rockets” team, have worked out how to launch single-stage soda bottle rockets over 600 feet using three drop-away booster engines that separate, NASA-style, when their thrust is spent. Watch in awe…

And here’s the kicker: According to their site it’s not all that hard to do. Full instructions, how-to, explanation, and more videos after the jump… This is so mind-numbingly fun-tastic, I’m inclined to start collecting bottles and start the countdown.

QUICK: Dirty Tats

Write anything you want. Stencil any place you please. Let your needles run wild. Sure, it’s just another ‘add graphics to picture’ flash widget in honor of a new video game, but if you can find a funner canvas to play with this morning, I’d like to see it.
