I’m glad I’m not the only one who was confused by that – it means make the math correct, so move one matchstick to make the digits right. and if they’re already right then just pick one up and put it back down where it was.

There’s an exploit. When presented with an equation that is already solved, sure you can move a stick to make a second truth. But you can also pick up and drop a match to recreate the same equation. Got lucky, was able to do this twice to get 2:01.
