The Shadow Project

Do you ever wonder if your shadow is playing tricks on you behind your back?
I mean, it could be, right? It’s always walking behind you so you never know what’s going on back there!
The past couple of weeks I’ve been tracing Matty and I onto large rolls of black paper.
I then cut them out into fun shadow people,
and taped them onto the walls and sidewalks all around Brooklyn. I then waited for people to walk by and took a picture at the exact moment they matched up with their silly shadow.
What do you think your shadow is up to? Quick! Turn around and check!

Light + mouth = fun. Even if you gotta go low-tech…

HONORARY DOGGLER: ESPN.com

Remember Cornify, that fun little bit of code that lets you put unicorns, rainbows, and other bits of sparkly joy anywhere you damn-well please? Remember ESPN, your one-stop-shop for all things sporty? The two met head-on yesterday when a designer fused them together in such a way that if users of ESPN.com tapped out the old Contra cheat code (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, start) – BOOM – instant unicorn takeover. How fun is that? Word spread at 420. By 5PM, it was a no go. Still, it was fun while it lasted. Well played ESPN.com. Well played indeed.

A mega chest bump to Neil Jano-wha? for sending this my way.

Use the arrows to get the bouncing ball to the portal while the clock runs down. See how far you can get – so far, my best score is 102 – but be warned, as mindless as it is, there’s a lot more to it. You’ll see. Click the pic, scroll down, and skip the ad to get the game.

FUN CLUB MISSION #5: Say It Loud

Welcome to FUN CLUB, Zoomdoggle’s weekly, offline mission. So much of what happens here happens online, it’s time to take the fun to the streets. This week’s mission, Say It Loud…

Last night, the lovely Kristina introduced me to a game she used to play in high school that we’ve since dubbed “say it loud.” The way it works is this:

Bored in a restaurant, library, or anywhere else where there are other people around and/or silence is golden (either will do, but both together raises the stakes)? Pick a word, off-color phrase, or cringe-inducing sentence.Take turns saying it with friends, each one upping the volume on the last until someone is damn-near shouting. First one to punk out looses.

Juvenile? I know. But once you start finding ways to slip it past (she almost screamed “vagina” but did it opera style, taking it to a place I simply couldn’t go), you’ll be hooked. Really. Let us know how it works out.

The Coin-Op Sound Arcade

Ready to take an audio tour of everything that was good growing up (sans fumbling in the dark with the ladies and those weird tongue kisses where you press your mouths together and swirl your tongues in one direction for a solid minute or two)? Put on your headphones, kick-up your feet, and fade away through hours and hours of audio from some of the biggest arcade hits of all time. Donkey Kong, Dig Dug, Rampage, al the greats are here… and with 14 collections of 50 tracks each, the list is endless. You can almost feel the quarters in your pockets. How fun is that?

FUN VIDEO: Streaktown

Anyone know that Hamilton College had a varsity streaking team? It does. Even funner, they went on tour. They did. This is just the teaser though… full webisodes after the jump. Don’t worry, it wasn’t really shot in wang-o-vision, I swear this thing is SFW.

That’s one big naked drive-by to Patrick Dunn for sending this my way. Thanks homie.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Expedition Grizzly

May 3rd, 9PM on Nat Geo…

“800-pound grizzly bear Brutus is the curious best friend to renowned naturalist Casey Anderson, who has raised him since birth. Together, they’ve set out on a yearlong mission to chronicle the lives of Yellowstone’s vulnerable grizzly bears.” Not excited yet? That’s not a stuffed toy in that last picture, it’s Brutus the bear at 6 months. Come on. The bear was the best man at his wedding and eats with the fam on thanksgiving! How fun is that? There’s loads more pictures after the jump. Do some exploring. Get excited. Then set the Tivo and let the fun begin.
