Honestly, I don’t read Russian and am far too lazy to get warm-up the old google translate this morning… But from what I can tell, a group on the other side of the iron curtain has been using a dumpster (or dumpsters) for all kinds of goodness. How fun is that?

Pretty sure those images are from dumpsters (we call them “skips”) in the UK

That first one brings a whole new meaning to the term “dumpster diving”

And to follow on from what fingers says, it looks very much like it is in the UK. The pavement, road markings, cars and architecture are consistent with the UK, as is the mobile phone number on the side of the skip.
Just been to the site, one of the other photos show car licence plates, which are also consistent with the UK. And the signs on the side of the skip talking about recycling are also in English. I wonder what the link is between the Russian site and the UK…
Was this a group of Russians doing street art in the UK? I want to know. Time for me to start Googling I think.

Here you go Jake, this looks to be the original source…

Googling “skip art” on Google.co.uk got me the answer.

Sorry, don’t mean to be spamming, but I also tracked down the artists website.

The skips are under “Skip Conversions”. I really like his “Climate Changed Tube Map” as well. Wish there was a bigger version there.

Good eye people. It’s weird; I get so excited to see comments, a part of my thinks I shouldn’t look that deeply into anything before I post. The less I know, the more comments get posted. I’m loving it!

Where did you take that it’s Russia, they use different letters and they don’t have dumpsters
