QUICK: Fun Weekend Anyone?

Welcome to the 12th Weekend of the year (and happy New Year Persian People!)

Not only is it the weekend, it’s also the start of a week of holiday/vacation (yup, I’m taking a week off) – woo and indeed, hoo!

The plan? Chillax.  Start making a vegetable garden, make another curry and destroy mutant nasties in just-bought-it-today Fallout 3.  Bring it.

Quick!  In the comments, whatcha all doin’?  Funnest answer may win you an amazing Zoomdoggle Bucky ball if Uncle Jake is feeling generous :)

    Floyd loves making me give stuff… but giving stuff is fun (and Floyd did just help me find some work)… a set of balls to whoever posts the funnest idea. And it doesn’t have to be anything you’re doing either. Feel free to simply post a link to something fun. Sound good? Ready, set, go!

  2. Floyd Hayes says:

    Never seen a Fallout 3 bunny rabbit mash-up before…still, slightly more flattering than the last one, thanks Jake :)

    @Floyd, not my best work, I know… but I was worn out after crafting the awesome Zelda/Jay Z tribute. That thing is beautiful if I do say so myself.

    @Jay, that’s fun. You wouldn’t happen to be in NYC would’ja? I’d give my pinky to crash it.

    I’m taking a road-trip to the beach! Complete with mix tapes, early morning diner run, picnic on the beach, and hopefully some great novelty souvenirs. Hope you have a great weekend. :)

    My homegirls and I are going for Round 3 of our monthly “bastardized foreign fare ladies luncheon,” where we lunch at a restaurant that has killed a piece of the culture its food derives from. This week is The Old Spaghetti Factory, bastardized Italian. Except I love this place so Im really excited. Mmm meatballs.

  8. Kristin Q says:

    Seafood Festival at the beach on saturday, it’ll be chilly out but worth it for some awesome scrimps!

  9. Floyd Hayes says:

    @sassyboots – gets my vote so far!

  13. milleniajc says:

    Buckyballs and Resident Evil 5! Oh, and hopefully finding out whether we got the condo or not!

  14. Baylee says:

    Im off to Maryland for a week with some friends.

    If you knew my friends you would know just how hilarious this trip is going to be.

  15. Samt says:

    This is something me and my roommates did the beginning of this semester. It’s called “the running man.” Two people have to dress up in ridiculous outfits (say a banana suit,coconut bra and hula skirt, gorilla costume, pretty much anything that would be something to catch the public’s eye), get blindfolded, and get dropped off via car into a random stores bathroom. Before the game starts a base is established, say a tree or a light pole, which is the safe zone at which the two “running men” are running to, in there costumes, before getting caught by the crew who dropped them off. The fun part about being in the crew is that you get to pulverize the running men if you find them (you can do things like throw water balloons, douse them with squirt guns, throw tennis balls at them, tackle them into the dirt, egg them, or your own crazy awesome idea, etc.). If the running men get caught then whoever caught them is the new “running man”. This game is pretty much a bigger and more extreme version of hide and go seek. So get together around 15-20 of your friends, pick two to be the “running men”, and let the games begin!

    This weekend I will be praying for Bucky Balls. I hope they arrive by my 60th birthday…May 13,2009.

  18. Ria says:

    Well, so far I played mini golf at the beach, stroked a pug whilst wearing a badge with a pug on it, and drank a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup milkshake. This has been fun, but hopefully tomorrow will exceed all expectations and we’ll have a barbecue. Sorry the sun is out in London- we all get a bit excited!

  19. Bryce says:

    Sunday I’m going to go buy the Canon HV30 video camera I’ve been drooling over. I’ve finally saved up enough to get it! sooo excited!

  20. milleniajc says:

    @Sue Lester – my 21st birthday is May 12th!

  21. Floyd says:

    Gemini in the house!

  22. jakehimself says:

    @Floyd, who’s the winner?

    Ooh, and can I get a testimonial on how fun my balls are to play with?

  23. Floyd says:

    I like sassyboots but samt takes a close second for shear madness!

    Testimonial? I can give you a testi-monial instead:

    “I’ve played with some balls in my time but jakes are certainly the smallest and most magnetic! Get those balls out at my desk is a great way to relieve stress and stoke the imagination. Yup. I love me some Buckyballs!”

    Does that work?

    :)

    Seriously, I wish I’d brought them on my vacation – I miss them!

  24. milleniajc says:

    @Floyd: Fantastic testimonial!Haha.
