QUICK: Lets Play the Google Snake Game

Here’s how this works. I’m going to write a single word in the comments below, along with the number of times it comes up in google when I search for it.

The next person writes another word in the comments setion. But when they search, they search for my word and their word together in quotes with a space better. Again, they write the number Google returns next to their word in the comments.

Person three adds a word and looks up all three of our words (in quotes) and posts the number… and so on and so on and so on.

When the number someone gets is 0, they document it and start a new snake. How fun is that?

FUN VIDEO: The Floating Copter

No trickery at all! By syncing the camera’s shutter (how many frames per second it’s shooting) with the blade’s rotations, it appears to be standing still. How fun is that?

FUN READ: The Untold Story of the World’s Biggest Diamond Heist

I know amazing story from the new Wired went around the web the other day, but I didn’t take the time to read it until I read that it had been optioned for a movie. If you have the 10 or so minutes, give it a look, its a fun one; a true story for a $100 million dollar safe-job that involves charictors with names like “The Monster” and “The King of Keys.” There are twists, turns, crosses, the mob, layer upon layer of alarms, and a full foot of steel between the burglars and their loot. How fun is that? CLICK HERE for the story.

In related news, if you like what you read there, your next stop should be Confessions of a Master Jewel Thief, another true and amazing tale. I once had the pleasure of spending a day with Bill Mason. Incredible man. Not only did he lift some $30 million in jewels (or was it 10, I’m getting foggy in my age) he got the justice department to inadvertently sign something saying they’d never prosecute. Wowsers. CLICK HERE for that little gem.

SPiN New York

New York’s first upscale ping-pong club is open for business! SPIN New York is a 13,000 square foot ping pong social club on Park Avenue in Manhattan’s Flatiron District. “The club offers unparalleled table tennis courts, including Olympic quality cushioned flooring, 17 individual tables, and a stadium-like center court. In addition, SPIN New York houses a pro shop, lounge, bar… and over a dozen internationally known professional coaches and players who are available for private and group instruction.” And did I mention it’s all brought to you by Fred Perry? That’s fun marketing done right. Sadly, it’s also a bit pricey, but note, the club is still without a logo. Desgn the winning one and they’ll fork over $1,000. For a budget conscious pong-lover like me, that sounds like a god time and then some.

There’s some zen wisom in this somewhere. The hoop doesn’t matter.

Most Neckties Worn At Once

Pushing the limits of both blood circulation and neck strength, Opus Moreschi tied a whopping 97 neckties around his neck at once, a new universal record. The ties, which featured everything from cartoon characters to corporate logos, weighed a combined total of 7.4 pounds.

Moreschi’s daring feat was performed on February 11, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society event at Pianos, a New York City bar. His face turned slightly purple as he set the record, forcing witnesses Corey Henderson and Kate Sullivan to periodically check his pulse.

FUN VIDEO: Greasy Lisa

Yeah, it’s a commercial for Arby’s (you know, cause if burgers are greasy you should be eating somewhere else), but it’s a fun one. Strangely, it actually makes me want to buy more burgers. I just might rub ‘em on things instead of eating them.

Sound + Memory = Soundry

Like the headline says, Soundry is the game memory, played entirely with sound, using music from Amazon. Time to break out the headphones, it’s good time. I got the first puzzle in 80 moves.

BONUS: Clicking a card and letting it play in the background is a good time too. It’s like pushing random on your iPod without every remembering what you downloaded. Or listening to one of those “Jack” stations. The songs aren’t all from this era, but they were all hits.

FUN VIDEO: Manatee Ricochet

It happens to the best of us, but watching it happen to someone else is fun.
