Dancing and singing in McD’s, how fun is that?

In the days that followed, the Chicago organizers contacted me about helping set-up a New York event. Unfortunately I was too busy. Regardless, in the little more than a month since, they’ve sprung up all over the place. CLICK HERE FOR THE COMPLETE LIST.
Sadly, all is not well in the world of Snug. Several local chapters have begun succeeding, unsure of where their $20 entry fee is going or why they should pay at all. SF Weekly has a story about their event (I highly recomend checking it out)… one of the few to go rogue. CLICK HERE FOR THE COMPLETE STORY.
Last but not least, nothing is complete these days without an iPhone ap or Facebook group. Snuggie lovers take a giant leap in that direction with the launch of SnuggieBook, the social network with sleeves. CLICK HERE TO BEAR WITNESS.

Living is fun. Ready to know who you’ve maintained better than? Simply put your age into Dead.atyourage.com and learn a little something about thems less fortunate than yourself. As for me? I’ve outlived Steve Biko by about two weeks. “He was an anti-apartheid martyr and founder of the South African Students Organization. He died of injuries sustained from being beaten by police on September 12, 1977, 1 year before you were born.” Hum, OK. I wonder who I will have outlived tomorrow. Anyway, give it a go and if you come up with anyone funner than Mr. Biko, let us know in the comments.

Yesterday, someone posted on Buzzfeed that they were having trouble making shapes with their BuckyBalls, at the very same moment that I was inventing a new shape. That said, I figure it’s time for the first installment of our weekly how-to series “better know your balls” (working title). Here’s a good starter shape to get yourself acquainted.
Step 1: Form a loop using 9 balls.
Step 2: Pinch the corners in to make your loop into a triangle.
Step 3: Attach 4 traingles to make one super-triangle.
Step 4: Fold up the edges on the super triangle to make a mini-pyramid.
Step 5: Attach 5 mini-pyramids and you’ve got this thing. Help, what do you call this thing? Suggestions are, as always, encouraged in the comments section.

This is 90% of the reason I don’t pull pranks… but 100% the reason they’re fun to watch.

SUPERUSELESS SUPEROWER: 1987 Man
With just a touch, 1987 Man turns any pair of jeans to acid wash. The 90’s were especially rough on our hero, forcing him to quit his job at the Gap. He now runs a Glamour Shots franchise along with fellow superheroes The Perminator and Shoulder Pad Girl.

Paper Robot is under attack by staples. Collect the batteries to charge your laser and fire away. The game itself is almost too simple, but they let you design your own robot. Fun. Click the pic to get the game.
The 2009 WBMC (that’s World Beard and Moustache Championships) takes place in Anchorage, Alaska on May 23rd. Members in 11 different countries will compete in a variety of categories ranging from the dainty Dali moustache to the gnarly full face freestyle. What’s that, can’t wait? It’s OK. Stay calm.

These sunglass people sure know how to make a good, fun, viral. Nothing wrong with that.
“Big Apple Mini Golf Design Competition.” Just saying it makes me smile. The full disclore is even funner though. A group called Figment is setting up a, 18-hole mini golf course on New York City’s Governors Island and they want your help in designing it. Well, one hole anyway. The Challenge: “Design and construct a single hole for this mini golf course, following the theme “City of Dreams.” Designs will be judged and selected on creativity, structural integrity, playability, feasibility, adherence to theme and budget.” The deadline for entry is March 31st. Get at it so I can get on it. How fun is that?
