Hacking Road Signs

According to Gizmodo, changing over a road sign to make it read, say, “Zombies Ahead” or “Zoomdoggle is Fun By The Pound” (if you’re so inclined, hint, hint), instead of “Buckle-up For Safety” is easier than you’d believe. Sure, most road sign control pads are placed in a lock box, but word is that box is rarely actually locked. And though their keypads are almost always under password protection, that password is almost always just the default code “DOTS.” On the off chance it’s not, word is you can easily reset the password to the default by holding “shift” and “control” while typing “DIPY.” NOTE: You should do nothing with this information as it’s almost certainly illegal… but if you’re breaking the law anyway, feel free to document it and send the evidence my way.
