READER GENERATED: A Ring of Carts
Chris O’Brien writes to say that, “going home to Santa Bore-bra is always boring.” This year, instead of staring idly and waiting for the hours to pass, he and his friends (the “Fun Games Massive”) decided to build the Ring of Carts. He says there’s a making-of video heading our way soon. How fun is that?
Thanks Chris for sending it in… here’s hoping you become a regular.
UPDATE: All is not as it seems. Read Alvin’s comments below. It looks like we’ve got a fraud of sorts on our hands.

So many questions:
Did you measure the radius before you started?
Did you know how far each connection could bend?
Was it hard linking the two ends?
I can’t wait to see the video.

I can’t think of a better addition to the Costco parking lot in Goleta! ROCK ON!

Chris O’Brien? This was created by Robert Wechsler back in 2004! (This was at the Costco parking lot in Goleta, BTW). Wechsler studied Studio Art and Sculpture at UCSB; I believe this piece was created for a final project shortly before he graduated. (I don’t follow Robert Wechsler’s projects, I only happen to know this because I go to UCSB!)

I eagerly await your “Making Of” video, Chris O’Brien

Hey-ro… Chris is you hearing this?
NOTE: This has also been forwarded to the address from which it came. I can’t be mad at the man for wanting to his name up in lights though, but lets try not to make a habit of it.
