The Maine Lobster Game

“Who thought you could make fishing more fun?” asks Chris Keslinger of Lobstergame.com. Clearly not the lobsters. Joke’s on them though. Chris has turned the oft-random balance by which life and death is decided into a game. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that, but when I started this thing, I decided that fun is whatever people say it is—Zoomdoggle is just here to get you thinking about it—and, well, I got three emails about this vending machine of doom over the weekend. In the interest of full disclosure, I should probably note that I do eat lobster and play with my food. I’ve just never taunted it. Fun?

I’m going to go ahead and say not fun. Fun to look at maybe. Fun to ponder, perhaps. But not so much fun if you’re a lobster. Zoomdoggle is all inclusive, yes?

Oh waaaa, another animal died. It’s the circle of life my friends. Deal with it.

How long has this been around? They showed something like this at the Crab Shack on My Name Is Earl an episode or two ago. Except the joke was that the lights on it heated up the water so much that people couldn’t complain about it being cruel because the lobsters were already dead. The bright side was that you can eat them right out of the prize slot.
