The Lego Digital Designer
Want to play with Legos at your desk? The program is free to download. All you need is the admin password for your machine (this one might be tough, tell them you’re trying a new time management package) and a few minutes to watch it load (I used the time to try a new time management package) and you’re good to go; tons of colors, sizes and shapes, 3D rendering, and unlimited bricks. It’s all the fun of Legos without any of the pesky touching.

In all honesty, I downloaded this a while back. If I could point to one thing that fostered my creativity as a youth it would be Lego. Never the less, a digital version is not the same. It’s a great app, does what you think it should but, nah, just not the same.
I used to love scraping around my big box O’ Lego looking for a flat two-ser or whatever and that (small) feeling of satisfaction in finding that one piece you knew you had that would make the current build perfect.
I’d still like an iPhone version though…

Me and my cousins used to wing ‘em at each other. Those flat sheets they give you to build off, they can really do some damage… I’ve got the mouth scar to prove it!
