Shower Balloons
My latest discovery came about quite naturally. About a week ago I moved into a new place. About six days ago I had a housewarming party. And about five days ago, the balloons someone had brought (as one does) made their way into my shower. Mylar helium balloons, in the shower, floating around as you’re soaping around; don’t ask why, but nothing is more joyful. Really and truly. Since installing them, I’ve kicked off every day that much brighter (even the first few before the gas was on, when the water was cold). Check it out for yourself (and be sure to send pictures when you do). They really brighten up the place, eons more than say, fresh flowers on the table.

Sadly, I don’t think I could fit balloons in my shower. However, bathtub decals of cartoon characters are amusing as well.
Also, did you know that helium comes from underground. From wells in Texas? I just found that out. I was amazed.

A helium mine must be one crazy place to work… hard to take your coworkers seriously if, say, they run “run” sounding like chipmunks.

I’m going to have to try that, if only to see the look of confusion on my roommate’s face in the morning

Glad to see that you’ve got no more reason to be tempted by Bryant Park!
