ZD : Making Dreams Come True
Did you know Zoomdoggle used to make readers dreams come true. That was the plan anyway. The hope was that readers would send in all that fun stuff they’ve always wanted to do, and periodically I’d dig through the old mail bag and make someone’s day. We got one guy a bodyguard. We put a girl behind the wheel (well, lever actually) of a freight-train. One guy went to side-show school to learn fire-breathing and other freaky fun. Hell, I even set a guy up on a date with a model. And then the letters stopped. What’s that about? Maybe everyone who reads this site had accomplished everything they ever dreamed of, but I doubt it. So I’m asking again. What sounds like fun to you? Dream big. Throw the Hail Mary. Just saying it out loud will bring you one step closer… but I’ve still got the time. Post it below. You never know what might come of it.

I would really like to swim with a dolphin :]

I’ll tell you what I want: an entourage. I want to walk down a busy city sidewalk with a whole crew of people behind me doing all sorts of busy important looking things. Calculators flaring, clipboards flying, and cellphones ringing. Every once in a while a hot looking secretary like person will ask me to make a call on an important decision.
Somewhere in there we would have to actually do something because walking around all day would get tiring. Maybe we could go to a restaurant and skip the wait or maybe we could get in an altercation in the street and I could just snap my fingers and a couple huge scary looking dudes would emerge from my entourage and well … take care of it. I wouldn’t stick around to see how it turned out.
Then again, I’d take a date with a model too.

Dear Zoomdoggle, here is what I really want: I want to hang out with Mr T for a day – just go public places with him like we were long time friends. Go see a movie together, share popcorn with Mr freakin’ T! Maybe even build a tree fort with Mr T, totally decked out in A-TEAM gear! It’d probably be a little creepy to sleep in the A-Team tree-fort with Mr T… but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t part of my dreamdoggle. And just after we stop laughing and sharing stories, I’d say “Goodnight, Mr T.” And he’d say, “Goodnight, sucka.” And I would know he was my friend, even if it’s only because you paid him to be.
…Or even BETTER than that: I’m getting married in 90 days, what if you could get MR T to come to my RECEPTION and make a toast!?! What if he would MC the whole thing?!?! HOLY GOODNESS! I geek out just thinking about it! Imagine a toast like “listen up sucka, I pitty the fool, who don’t respect these two! Now quit the jibba jabba and kiss her!” BEST WEDDING PICTURES EVER! And oh yeah, they’ll be posted on Zoomdoggle! BAM!!

Blake, it’s funny you should mention MR T. I’ve been trying to get a hold of him for MONTHS. Really. He’s dropped his agent (Don Buckwald), or maybe they dropped him, but even they don’t know who to ring. Sadly, getting him seems out of the question, unless someone else has a decent lead I can follow…
(hint hint – anyone know anything?)

I really want to on a shopping spree. Like a few pairs of sneakers and a bike and like a console.

i actually have a few dreams, haha. I always wanted to kiss a girl. i am a 21 year old girl and just never had the chance per se… or maybe its because I’m too shy.
the other: I have always wanted to publish something. I just couldn’t figure out how to get started with that so I have years of little pieces I have written just stored in a box in the back of my dusty closet.
the last: this isnt a joke but I always wanted your autograph. I stumbled across your work and experiments seven years ago and it always made me laugh so I’m really glad I found this site!
have a great weekend!

I would really like to meet professional and train with him! That would be amazing :]
Working out and throwing a few punches and letting out some steam in the ring!

n- I’m a straight 26yr old girl, with a boyfriend, that lives in nyc. I’ll kiss you. Maybe Jake, from Zoomdoggle, could take a picture of another dream coming true.

Jake, HA, you’re awesome, man! The very last thing I saw Mr T in was the Snickers “Get Some Nuts!” Ad campaign launched by AMV BBDO. The problem is that the ads only saw limited airplay before they were removed due to complaints. You can read about it here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2008/jul/28/advertising1. (What if everyone had a sense of humor? Just imagine…)
I don’t know if Don Buckwald was representing him at the time or not. It has been several months since. However, if you were to contact AMV BBDO (http://www.amvbbdo.com/), they might be able to give you some leads.
While we’re on the subject: they put together this fun little site for the campaign http://www.getsomenuts.tv/ – I am pleased it’s still up and running.
Now, if you’re unable to get MR T, may I suggest other celebrities who would be fantastic MC’s at a wedding (the tree-house dream is reserved only for Mr T):
Patrick Swayze (and yes Dirty Dancing songs all night long)
Kevin Bacon (wouldn’t it be nice to have only ONE degree of separation?)
David Hasselhoff (probably too busy with Americas Got Talent – but DANG!)
Gary Coleman (I live in Utah, I understand he does now as well – plus that’s just awesome!)
William Shatner (he’d be a phenomenal MC, plus he could do the singing BOO YEAH!)
Ralph Machio (or really any lead actor from the first “Karate Kid”)
Chuck Norris (I’ll be sure to invite someone annoying who he can beat up for dramatic effect)
Reaching for the brass ring, I know. But what can I say, I dream big! Really I don’t expect it’d happen, but if you’re able just contact me for all the details. In the meantime keep up the great work with ZD!

I’d like to have a meal with my girlfriend at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon.

I used to be on the National Cycling Team. After I stopped racing Lance Armstrong came on the scene. He has always been a tremendous source of inspiration. From the bike to being a cancer survivor his motivation is unequalled. I have never been to see the Tour de France although it has been a ‘dream’. This Spring I was diagnosed with cancer. After 4 months of intense chemotherapy I am now tumor free. (There were 9 tumors total on my spine and kidney-1 the size of a grapefruit) Soon after my last treatment Lance Armstrong announced that he was coming out of retirement to race in the Tour. I want to be on the finish line to see him win #8!
I know its a big “wish” but its my wish and I am sticking to it one way or another.

I want background music. I would love to have a small band follow me around for an entire day, and score my actions. I want a swell of romantic music as I kiss my wife, and exciting driving music as I take off on my bike to do a few laps. I want a soundtrack.

Dear Zoomdoggle,
Last night I had a dream that I was in a REALLY fancy limo drinking champaign and eating little cocktail snacks to go to my FAVORITE club. That was an amazing dream arriving in style to a pretty upscale club in Houston. I usually drive up in my 1990 purple Ford Taurus that is pretty much falling apart as I drive it.
I’ve got the clothes, the make up and the hair to make me look fabulous, I just want to arrive in style for once!
(I always have to park 2 blocks away and walk because I won’t park in the regular parking lot)

I want to drive an ice cream truck. When I was little, the first thing I ever wanted to be when I grew up – true story – was an ice cream lady. My grandmother even bought me a little Matchbox ice cream truck, and I used to drive it around all the time and make it give ice cream to my Barbies, even though they were giants in comparison.
Watching The Adventures of Pete and Pete made me commiserate with Mr. Tastee, the world’s loneliest ice cream man.
Though ice cream season’s almost over, someday I’d like to have this opportunity. Through ZD, anything can happen, right?

Every time I watch some kind of “reality” show, I always watch what I do imagining there is a camera crew there documenting my ENTIRE life. And I think that would be really fun! Just every day life though, not like where they record my life to get me to quit doing drugs or live in someone else’s shoes (which is another dream of mine!), just being regular old me!
That would be the BOMB!
And then you guys can all watch my 24 hour day on tape, or better yet, feed it live on the internet!

Dear Zoomdoggle,
Thank you for making so many dreams come true and for creating entertainment for so many people. I know my boyfriend Blake loves your site. He sends me a link to something awesome at least once a week. The most recent thing was this: making dreams come true.
I’ll be honest here, I’m working pretty hard to think of the most amazing wedding gift ever for Blake. I really want to come up with something that will make him so happy. I looked for some ideas online and you know what I found? Book ends and personalized pens and cufflinks. Boring!
Oh wise and powerful Zoomdoggle, please make both of our dreams come true and get Mr T or William Shatner or Chuck Norris to come to our wedding reception! If he can MC that would be amazing, but if not we’d be happy to have him just show up as a guest. You know, greet us, eat some cake, and sign in at our video guest book.
Thanks ZD!

I would love to take part in a professional couture photoshoot. Get to wear spectacular creations, participate in a fanciful creative process and basically get close to genius and have a permanent record of it!
