Ever heard of Amma?

These are the facts:

Her real name is Mata Amritanandamayi.

She was born in the small village of Parayakadavu in India in 1953.

She is known as the “Hugging Saint” and is said to have hugged more than 30 million people, sometimes as many as 50,000 at a time in ceremonies that have been known to last days.

Last week she was at the Manhattan Center here in New York City, where she hugged countless people…

…AND ONE MACHINE!

That’s right. Thought camera were not aloud inside, after 6 hours of waiting to feel her loving arms around me, someone said something interesting: “Amma likes fun. I’ll bet she’d like your machine.”

So I went outside and brought it to her.

It’s been doused in the “water with healing properties” she distributes. It’s been draped in ceremonial flowers. But most importantly, it’s been touched by Amma. When will it be touched by you?
