The Space Hummer
It’s that time of week again, the day when the Zoom office piles into a single room to come up with next week’s ideas. Some pretty good concepts were thrown around. Some sounded, well, too big for our good. And then we saw this video from Top Gear, the greatest car show on Earth. They made a giant space shuttle using a hummer, loads of fuel, and a remote control.

Maybe bigger is better. Even if it crashes and burns.

It wasn’t a hummer. If you watched the episode you’d know it was a reliant robin, which couldn’t be more the opposite of a hummer. It didn’t make it into space or even very high as the bolts connecting the car (three wheeler as it happens)to the rocket didn’t blow and the whole thing was destroyed.

It was a robin reliant, not a hummer =]
i think it also turned out that the reason the main fuel tank didnt separate was due to 1 connector not releasing at the right moment. bummer
awesome explosion though eh?

It is truly impressive what small dedicated engineering firms can create. The amount of infrastructure to create a multiple stage re-entry vehicle is incredible.
Just to note this vehicle is actually a reliant robin or variant there of, im sure you all remember it as the little three wheeled vehicle on Mr Bean.
